Program Engagement Consultant, Nigeria
Hauwa Okorie is a Program Engagement Consultant based in Lagos, Nigeria. Her work at Agrifin is focused on developing and advancing Nigeria-based partnerships.
Hauwa has worked in the international development space for 8 years. Prior to joining Agrifin, she worked at Busara Center for Behavioral Economics. She was part of the team that developed an innovation lab that served as a sandbox for financial service providers in Tanzania. She specialized in designing and conducting behavior-change research in digitally-enabled services and agriculture. Prior to that, she worked as a Research Consultant at Women’s World Banking where she supported their Nigeria-based project to increase women’s access to financial services. Her professional experience spans across the African continent delivering projects from East to West Africa. She continues to deepen and broaden her knowledge on securing livelihoods, technology, finance and government policy, including their linkages.
Hauwa holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from George Washington University.
